After a little gap of weekend movie going, this weekend I watched "Engeyum Eppodum" (Any where, any time), Tamil movie. Posters and Trailers convey that it is an yet another feel-good-factor-love-story with two couples and may be with different climax, as off-beat Tamil movies are famous for. But I was completely wrong. It is a love story with serious message for everyone of us. That is speed thrills but kills. You should be very very careful when driving on highways. All it takes is a split second to save a life or loose a life.
Movie starts with bus station atmosphere. Then moves on to love story of Ananya and Sadanand. This love story is simply superb especially the scenes where Ananya cross-checking what her cousin-sister told and finally giving gyan to Sadanand when he drops her at home.
Next is the love story between Jai and Anjali. Again, this love story is very different one, a typical love story happens in those places. Anjali plays bold nurse character, which is little bit different from Angadi Teruvu. Innocent lover character suited for Jai. Comedy scenes between this pair is hilarious.
Good to see established directors are venturing into production and giving chances to their assistant directors. Shankar did it with Eeram and other movies. And now A.R.Murugadoss with Engeyum Eppodum...
Overall, Engeyum Eppodum is 2 love stories with strong message to people and at times very slow and little boring. Songs are apt for situations and good picturization added more color to them. With this I sign off now. See you in next post. Thanks..

Practical Leadership Lesson from Dr. Srikumar Rao
My friend posted a video link few days back. I thought its usual practice from him to post all sorts of videos. But this video is something different, I felt. It is Leadership@Google event's video in which Dr. Srikumar Rao presented simple, practical and doable activities to improve personal effectiveness and overall our lives.
The video is available at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u20vVbhpM50&feature=player_embedded#at=16.
Prof. Rao talks about few things such as mental chatter, mental model, seeing alternative reality and constant improvement tips and tools. I quickly remembered this line from Robin Sharma's book - The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari - "What you see before you or what you see behind you is nothing more than what you see inside.". Yes, our world first gets created inside us and it manifests in out side world. For example, one day I experienced a very bad traffic in 3 places on my commute. I was frustrated and angry. And the situations and people whomever I met that day were in the same order. Later when I introspected I realized the fact. Next day, I kept my self cool and was listening my favorite number in audio system and kept telling "I am cool. I will make this day really fantastic". End of the day, I felt calm and happy moods all through the day to remember. My point is keep trying to make our lives happier. It is slow and long process. But never give-up..
With that note, I am closing this blog. If you like this post, I will be glad to see your comments.

The era of cheap capital draws to a close
Very good article about how cheap capital that fuelled growth in emerging countries will start seeing slow end. Because developed countries are moving to savings mode after great depression. Take a look: The era of cheap capital draws to a close
